Parish Nursing at our parish offers parishioners a link between faith and health. Parish nursing focuses on the spiritual, physical and emotional well being of all parishioners.

Educational programs and screening are offered in regard to wellness, and support is given through visits made to those experiencing illness and bereavement situations. Advocacy is offered when needed and health resource information is available to all. The parish nurse facilitates small-group meetings for those with specific concerns and needs.

Parishioners are encouraged to call the voice mail of the parish nurse at 249-7288 ext. 229 any time to leave a confidential message. She is at the parish on Mondays and Thursdays. The Parish Nurse Program at Saint Bernard is a partnership with Meriter Health Services and St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center.

The Befrienders is a new ministry at Saint Bernards. All parishioners are invited to come to be part of this ministry. Following the training sessions, those that wish to continue with the program will comprise the membership of this ministry, whose purpose will be to serve God by serving others.
