Every escape from certain death is utterly implausible and some of the action scenes are so comic strip as to be bizarre. Yet, despite this, the film is lightweight compulsive watching. There is never enough tension for anything to be edge of the seat, but it is just fun with a lot of laughs along the way. Enjoyable, but not for anyone who wants to overthink it. Red 2 is a 2013 American action comedy film and sequel to the 2010 film Red. It was based on the limited comic book series of the same name, created by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, and published by the DC Comics imprint Homage.
Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta Jones and Brian Cox; what a cast.... yet it's just a better version of Expendables and with better actors. It is a very enjoyable film; it has great action scenes, the plot is solid and it has some very good performances.

Plans are underway for a Bloodshot sequel. Vin Diesel will reportedly return for Bloodshot 2, as confirmed by Dan Mintz, the CEO of DMG Entertainment group.
